The Robotix SME Support Programme

Feasibility Studies

Different demonstrators will be developed according to the research focus. These essentially consist of different human-robot systems, which are complementary to each other, so that the cluster covers the essential technologies on the market on a broad basis. The applications shown in the demonstrators range from manufacturing to assembly and dismantling of products.

The demonstrators are so universal that they can also be used for initial feasibility studies by users or for training purposes.

The feasibility studies can be carried out either by the mobile demonstrators at the user’s site or in the research facilities.

Initial Consultancy

Research and development together with a partner always presupposes a relationship based on trust, as problems usually first have to be identified and then solved. This requires a certain openness. Therefore, the Robotix Academy offers a multi-stage initial consultation in order to take along companies that still have little experience with research and development projects.

Ideally, our customers get to know us through information events or trade fairs in a neutral environment. If you are interested in a cooperation, we would be happy to invite you to one of our local research bases. Here we present our offers as well as current research projects and practical solutions directly on demonstrators.

We will then visit you on site without obligation and carry out an initial analysis of the current situation in order to identify the problem. As a result you will receive a small documentation as well as a first recommendation for the solution of the problem. In the simplest case, we will find a company that can offer you a solution that has already been developed. If the technology is not available on the market, we draw up a roadmap on how the technology can be developed in development or research projects. In addition to technology development, we also support you in planning and organizational activities. One focus is the correct introduction of technologies.

Research and development projects

Research projects are projects of limited duration with the aim of developing new findings in an important or particularly topical topic. Funding is usually provided by public funding programmes for which applications can be submitted.

The funding programmes are regularly advertised in one- or two-stage procedures. In the first stage, the project consortium prepares a sketch for the research project, which must be presented and defended to the project-executing agency. If the assessment is positive, the applicant will be asked to submit a long proposal in which the project is described in detail.

The advantage of these publicly funded research projects is that not only the research institutions are funded, but also the collaborative partners. Since the applications are reviewed several times by experts, an appropriate lead time must be planned for publicly funded research projects.

For time-critical projects, it is also possible to commission research institutions directly. Here, the client finances the research from his own funds.

We are at your disposal for the selection of the right research programme and the preparation of the application.
